WCA Semester Final Exam schedule

Our Spring 2023 semester is nearing its end, and it's already time to prepare for Demonstrations of Learning and Exams. Please note that Friday, May 12, will be the last day for new content in Grades 6-11 classes. New content will end for all senior courses on Friday, April 28. Per custom, all learners will have an exam preparation respite in the days leading up to their exams, and Upper School learning facilitators will email learners and parents Spring '23 exam review packets on or before Monday, May 1, 2023

Please note from the schedule below that not all students will have some classes listed in the 10 am exam window on a particular day. Suppose your child does not have a class that coincides with a 10 am exam slot on a specific day listed below. In that case, s/he will dismiss following the 8:05 am exam that day (e.g., Upper School students who don't have Art, Music, and Drama classes so those learners will be dismissed at 9:35 am on Thursday, May 25, as one example.) Otherwise, student dismissal during exam week will occur at 11:30 am.

Suppose your child is a junior and takes Personal Finance. In that case, the learning facilitator will give that final exam in class the week of May 15-19 and communicate assessment administration details to families on or before May 1.

If you've enrolled your child in Williamsburg Christian Academy's Personalized Education Program, s/he will take exams in Room 201 and will have separate proctors.

Our typical Monday through Thursday dress code will apply to exam week. Each learning facilitator will communicate the resources (notecards, calculators, etc.) allowed for each course's exam via the review guide on or before May 1.

Upper School students DO NOT have classes on Friday, May 26, but Upper School faculty will participate in summer checkout on Friday, May 26.

Students who quickly complete exams will dismiss at the listed exam release time.

Exams for sixth through eleventh grades are listed first, followed by a schedule for traditional senior exams. If your child is a senior DP learner, you'll find that assessment schedule at the bottom of this email. Please direct your DP graduating senior assessment questions to Mrs. Meisinger, DP Coordinator, at meisingerc@williamsburgchristian.org.
