  • Head of School State of the School Address: The Head of School will present the annual State of the School Address on Thursday, January 29, at 6:00 PM. Join us for a brief and informative evening as we look ahead to the 2026–27 school year and share important updates for families.

 In-person attendees may enter two raffles:

  • New Connections Meeting: We are happy to announce that we will be combining our Lower School Connections and Upper School Connections meeting in February. On Thursday, February 5th, at 8:15 am in the LS library, we will be having a guest speaker, Clif Savage, from Fortress Builders Financial. All parents are welcome to attend. We have a Zoom link in case you can not attend in person. Please RSVP to cermakr@williamsburgchristian.org to make sure we have enough light refreshments and handouts. We look forward to seeing you.
  • Prayer Request for the Nice Family: Please keep the Nice family in your prayers. The daughter of a WCA alumnus has been diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma.   • Diaper Drive Benefiting ECHO Family Care Partners: We are collecting diapers and essential items for ECHO Family Care Partners, a local nonprofit working to support isolated families and prevent foster care. Donations are due by February 2nd. Diaper Drive Flyer ECHO’s Website
  • Spirit Week: Spirit Week for PreK–12 students is scheduled for February 2–6. Please note that Lower School and Upper School will follow different daily themes.
  • Night to Shine Volunteer Opportunity: We are seeking student and parent volunteers for Night to Shine, a joyful celebration honoring individuals with special needs. Williamsburg Community Chapel was proud to host Night to Shine for the very first time, and it was an incredible success! We invite students and parents to volunteer and help make this night truly shine. The event will take place on February 13 at Williamsburg Community Chapel. Please sign up in advance.   • Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center Dine & Discover Event Invitation: You’re invited to share an upcoming Dine & Discover event at WCRC with friends, ministries, or partners who may be new to the retreat center. The event offers a free meal, a guided tour, and an overview of lodging, events, camps, and partnership opportunities. Dine & Discover will take place on Tuesday, January 27, at 5:30 PM (dinner), or on Thursday, January 29, at 12:00 PM (lunch), at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center.   • Preschool students are welcome to join the Spirit Week celebrations from February 2–6! Please refer to the Lower School news section for details.

 

  • All parents of rising kindergarten students are encouraged to reach out to Brynn Allen, WCA Admission Director, at allenb@williamsburgchristian.org for information regarding Kindergarten for the 26-27 school year. 

 

  • Preschool Spring Break will take place from March 16 through March 20.

  • Spirit week is on February 2-6: 

MONDAY – Comfy & Cozy Day  

Students may wear their comfiest school-appropriate clothing such as sweatpants, hoodies, and cozy socks.

Students may pick one color to wear head-to-toe or dress alike with a friend.

Students may bring their books and supplies in something creative such as a basket, bin, lunchbox, or pillowcase.  

Please ensure items are lightweight and safe.

THURSDAY – Dress Like Your Favorite Job  / Western Day

Students may dress up as a career or job they admire or in Western Wear

FRIDAY – Glow & Neon Day  

Students may wear bright or neon colors. Glow sticks will be provided at arrival.

Notes:

- Costumes should be simple, safe, and school-appropriate  

- No masks, weapons, or heavy items  

- Participation is encouraged, but perfection is not required  

Monday: Adam Sandler -Students may come dressed as their favorite Adam Sandler character.

 

Tuesday: Rhyme Without a Reason  -Grab a partner and come dressed with a rhyme that doesn't make sense!  Ex. Flower/Power, Tea/Pea, etc (Embrace the weirdness)

 

Wednesday:  Wacky Carry Day / PJ Day - Students may bring their books and supplies in something creative, such as a basket, bin, lunchbox, or pillowcase. As well as wear cozy PJs. Please ensure items are lightweight and safe.  

 

Thursday: Throwback Thursday- Come dressed as your favorite Era!

  • Student Ambassador Program: WCA is soon re-launching our Student Ambassador Program. Student Ambassadors serve as representatives of our school community. They embody our values, share their authentic student experiences, and help welcome new families and students. Through leadership, service, and communication, ambassadors play a vital role in shaping our school’s first impression. This is an excellent opportunity for our students, especially those interested in sharpening their communication and interpersonal skills. For more information, see the Program Description.   • As Williamsburg Christian Academy prepares to welcome international students for the 2026–2027 school year, we are looking for caring, supportive, and adventurous families to join our Homestay Program. Hosting an international student is more than providing a place to stay — it’s an opportunity to share cultures, build lifelong friendships, and make a lasting impact on a young person’s life.   • President’s Day/ No School on Monday, February 16
  • Family Academic Conferences are scheduled for March 11-12, and there will be no school during that time. Spring break will take place from March 11- 27.

  • Soup & Salad Luncheon is on Thursday, January 29. Help us bless our teachers and staff with a Soup & Salad Luncheon on January 29.
